I'm wondering if anyone knows any good beaches, ponds, or other swimming spots nearby that are dog-friendly? I love Walden but "no dogs allowed". I haven't been able to find any public ocean-side beaches in Massachusetts that allow dogs during the day in the Summer (some, like Crane, allow dogs in the off-season).

I noticed that Houghton Pond (in Milton) allows leashed dogs and I'm assuming there must be some dog-friendly swimming holes on the north shore. I would love to find a spot that I can take my dog to swim that is an hour away or less.
