From the VESCONE website:

The Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of New England offers First Aid classes to the general public both at VESCONE and at other locations around Metro Boston.

These classes are designed to teach you, the pet owner, the basics regarding the most common pet emergencies and how to recognize if something is wrong with your pet.
Our classes are interactive, involving a workshop with you and your pet so we can teach you how to get a pulse, heart beat, check the gums, and get a temperature, set up a first aid kit, safe transport and even bandage application.

Classes are about 1-2 hrs in duration and are a lot of fun. Many of our clients have attended and always say how much valuable information they learned about caring for their pets. Our goal is to prepare the pet owner for getting their pet to us in an emergency situation. Remember, the best way to handle any emergency with your pet is being prepared!

These classes are a must for getting prepared and knowing your dog’s normal status so that when he gets sick or becomes injured, you will be able to act quickly and calmly.

This class will be taught by Dr. Shroff and there will be a $20 fee.
