The City of Cambridge Public Facilities Committee is hosting public meetings to discuss possible establishment of shared use* hours for off-leash dogs at certain locations in Cambridge

The first meeting, at Gold Star Mother's Park (Gore Street) already occurred on March 13 and went well.

This meeting was the first of a series to be held throughout Cambridge to discuss potential locations for off-leash shared use hours, in response to growing community interest in off-leash facilities.
The open spaces that will be under discussion include:
Gold Star Mother’s (Gore Street) Park March 13th
Corcoran (Raymond Street) Park April 10, 7:00 p.m.
Clement Morgan (Columbia Street) Park May 1, 7:00 p.m.
Rafferty Park May 29, 7:00 p.m.
Riverside Press Park (note change of date)June 26, 6:00 p.m.

* Shared use refers to the designation of specific hours at certain parks throughout the City when dog owners and their pets may utilize designated areas within those parks off-leash. The shared use hours and availability may vary according to location, season, and ground conditions.

The city has asked that only dog owners who live in the area and would use the particular park being discussed attend each meeting. This will be an incredibly important series of discussions that we've been trying to initiate for over 3 years. Please attend the meeting at your local park to make your views heard.
