The Boston Globe announced today that a doggie DNA test had been unveiled at the Biotech Convention yesterday. Apparently, for $65, you can get a cheek swab test which will return results specifying the breed(s) of your dog(s). I could see shelters (eventually) using this to determine breeds, not to mention owners who have some burning need to know the exact mix of their mixed breeds or verify that their purebred is, in fact, purebred.
